Meiosis

In my science class, we have been recently learning about Meiosis. We did this very creative project in science class, where we cut strips of papers to use as chromosomes and did the process of Meiosis with them. As a result, we get a baby from those chromosomes. 

During this project, we use a graph to mark the genotypes and then find the phenotype to match the genes. 

We then draw our baby using the traits ( phenotypes ) that we found while using the genotypes.

My Food Blog

Golden Corral 

 My favorite restaurant is " Golden Corral ". It's a Buffet that is located in Illinois near Keylime Cove. I went there for lunch with Remi after we went to Keylime cove together during the beginning of summer. 

Remi and I ate a lot and had a great time there. There was a Chocolate Fountain, an ice cream machine, carrot cake, cupcakes, brownies, pizza, and etc.. 

They have an amazing selection of food at the Buffet, and it's full of delicious food. 

There were so many desserts to eat, and many new foods to try. 

It was very crowded, and the food kept coming and going really fast. 

My Dance Life

I've been dancing for 10 years. It's been my passion to dance since I was 3 years old. I started my first dance class at the age of 3 at the Morton Grove Park District. Throughout the years, I've taken tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, classic ballet, and strictly ballet. In summer 2015, I soon realized that I needed something more, and something that would take me to the next level.

That Fall, I started classes at Virtuoso Performing Arts. It was amazing, they had better dance teachers, and they teach professionally. In 2016, I received my ballet is fun Turn Board which is a dance product that helps you turn better. I was inspired by the ballerina Gisele Bethea, and when I was little I saw the Nutcracker and was very inspired to dance like that when I'm older.

I wish to audition for the Nutcracker in Fall 2016. I believe that I can make it into being a Dance teacher and a professional dancer. I have a dream, and i'm determined to make it come true ! 

My Movie Review : Inside Out

Inside Out 

       This movie is a wonderful family comedy with a story about a girl named " Riley Anderson " and the five emotions which are living inside Riley's head are Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust. An amazing family film that is about Riley Anderson moving from Minnesota to San Francisco, and an interesting movie that describes how emotions work and control your feelings. In this movie, Riley faces hard times in her new school and new house, while missing her friends from back home, by having trouble with her new hockey team, and facing new things that surround her. The movie portrays the things that go on inside your head, and your feelings that change by your emotions inside your head. 



I would give this movie 4 stars !

New Year's Resolution

My goals for 2016 would be : 

- To get 20 pirouettes on my turn board 
 

- To improve my technique in ballet

- To get more flexible 

- To audition for the Nutcracker and get in

- To audition or get into a dance company

- To have more confidence

I wish to achieve all these goals in 2016 !

These goals are very important to me because 
dancing is basically my life, and it takes a lot of 
confidence and a lot of hard work to get into the 
professional side. Improving technique and becoming
more flexible is a huge goal for me. I also wish 
to audition for the Nutcracker in 2016 and a dance 
company.
